It's hot and windy. There is a fire 90 miles away that is blowing smoke and ash in my direction. I'm tired and totally cooked something and don't feel like talking about it.
So let me tell you about something cool that I am now a part of. Last week, CitySearch launched an extension of their website called SugarBomber. If you want to find interesting (and cheap) desserts in your area...or just browse and be jealous of what other cities get to experience, check it out. I am one of their Dictators and I wrote about this chocolate strawberry ding dong from Lemonade and soon it will be posting to the site. If you like desserts and are interested in becoming a Dictator also, click here.
I'll be back tomorrow with a recipe post. I promise.

Take your time Esi :) I find so many people lately and taking breaks and getting tired of blogging, it should be a hobbie and shoulnd't be done when you don't feel like it. We'll be here after you rest, witing for fantastic healthy recipes, no pressure though :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks yummy!
have a good day!
Stay safe (from the fires!!!) That dessert looks awesome. Thanks for pointing out the website! I am going to check it out. My fav thing to do is go out to dessert only!
ReplyDeleteOh man, that looks so fudgy and delicious, can't wait for the recipe!
ReplyDeletestay safe!
ReplyDeleteoh that looks so rich and chocolatey!
that looks insanely good
ReplyDeleteI haven't been cooking anything new either this week, and I'm sort of enjoying the break. Maybe I'll make the effort this weekend, but for now I feel content. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, content and very very hot.
I love this website!! How cool that your a dictator!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting concept! And here I was trying to guide myself *away* from finding the sweets in my area...sigh :-)
ReplyDeleteEsi, please tell me you will be taking care of yourself. Those wild fires in CA are serious. I will keep you in my thoughts dear one. As for that gorgeous dessert...a CHOCOLATE heart, well I sure would love one right about now. Have a wonderful (and safe) weekend my friend.
ReplyDeleteHey everyone! I am far from the fires, but unfortunately it looks like the winds and hot weather will be here another day. Hopefully the fire will be under control soon. I am going to try and find out what we can do to help those that have been displaced. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteOh yum! Looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis SugarBomber sounds pretty neat. And this cake looks incredible. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWay too cute! I'll come back and check for the recipe.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say this, but I so miss that dry weather of cali. We aren't hot, but we are already humid as heck. Humidity kills.
ReplyDeleteLove the name sugarbomber, that's exactly what I want for an ice cream sundae, a sugar bomber full of fudge sauce!
First time checking out your site! That Sugarbomber link is awesome! I'm an avid dessert photographer when I'm out dining, so the site would be a great forum for my photos and reviews. Though I'm not a tough critic, so every review would probably include lots of "Amazing!" and other such intensifiers! HA!
ReplyDeleteUs LA baker chics gotta stick together eh!
ciao!
