All I Want for Christmas...Is a GIVEAWAY!

This year in my family, we aren't giving gifts. For some reason, my mom thought giving us a trip to Hawaii is gift enough (haha). However, later this month I will be doing a gift exchange with my friends. I recently came across the site Delight.com that I am totally obsessed with. First of all, the name, isn't it...delightful? They have some really unique and interesting gifts that are perfect for the home cook or entertainer and even better because many of them are eco-friendly. I am so needing this cookbook stand and these onion goggles, since the mere mention of onions makes me tear up. The mac daddy of all gifts is this Eco-Delightful Get Green Gift Set which has tons of goodies for when you want to look cool at the farmers market or are strolling around town. Including one of those aluminum water bottles that I have been coveting. Someone feel free to get me this bag, I will love you forever :)

Well, the nice people at Delight.com are offering my readers a 15% discount. Just enter the code: DishingDelight (case sensitive) at checkout. They are also letting me host my first giveaway! One lucky reader will win a set of the White Christmas Vintage Plates so you can have your Christmas dinner in style. All you have to do to be eligible is leave a comment about one or two things you would like to give and/or get this year. Giveaway is open to US residents only, and comments must be received by midnight PST, December 20th to be eligible. Good luck!

Owwwww these plates are so cute! What a fun giveaway. Hmmm there is not much (material wise) that I want. I just want to enjoy time with family! If I had to pick ;)- I need some jackets for work (We have to dress up every day!!) and I would love a nice water bottle so I can stop killing the planet!

such cute plates!! I tried to put the focus on things I/mom/dad actually need, so that there's no "wasteful" gifts that wind up sitting around for years... I just sent some lovin out to friends in the form of home-baked goods :)

What a lovely giveaway! I love the cookbook stand! I wonder if the goggles really work. My family asked for my Christmas list, they were surprised at how short it was. Just a few cookbooks and a new cake stand. I am giving out lots of baked goodies this year, I actually have some spare time for baking. Hawaii for Christmas sounds fabulous!

Very very cute! I'm a sucker for kitschy Christmas things! :)

I'd like to get some new sweatpants for Christmas (mine are getting to the groddy stage), and I'd like to give my foodie brother an immersion blender like the awesome Kitchen Aid one my roommate has. I still need to get that, but home stores/the mall scare me around Christmas time.

Those are some cute plates! I am printing and hand matting/framing photos I have taken of my favorite people to give as their gifts.

Those plates are adorable!

One thing I'm asking for this year is photoshop. I need some help with my pictures and I hope I'll have sense enough to use it! lol

Love the plates and congratulations on your first give-away.

The thing I'd most like to give this year is the proof that an old fashioned Christmas with hand made gifts is even more special than the commercialized version we've all fallen victim to.

So far, so good...

nice giveaway. it makes our giveaway of mulling spices looks very, very lame. ha ha ha ha ha. this year i actually don't want anything. ok, well i do but i feel like we're in such a ridiculous economic crisis that we shouldn't really be receiving gifts. BUT, if we weren't - i'd love a flat screen tv. our tv's are about 25 years old and i'm ready for a new, nice one. as for giving, i'd love to volunteer somewhere or give away some homemade treats.

Onion googles???? This crazy picture pops in my head of you, in goggles, possibly a set of dish gloves and a lab coat attempting to cut an onion! haha!

Love presents that have to do with cooking or eating!

Happy Holidays!

Nice! I just decided today that I'd like to ask Santa for a baking stone so that I can start baking bread like a pro :-) I'm looking forward to giving some family members that live across the country some webcams so we can stay in better touch through videochats.

Oh I would love the plates! For Christmas this year I am so excited to be spending a week with our kids in Atlanta. Our granddaughter is turning 1 on Christmas Day so it is even more special. What I want is a safe trip from Central NY and back...and a new electronic food scale!! My joy in giving this year has been to our grandchildren and to the nursing home residents where my mother-in-law resides.

I would love a new Coach purse! I bought my Mom one and was drooling the entire time I was in the store. Cookingwise, I'd love a food scale. I"m the worst at measuring flour.

Adorable plates!

One of gifts I bought this year is a 2 inch memory foam matress pad for my 26 year old daughter. She is deploying to Iraq in January, and this might bring her a bit of comfort.

I'm dying for a digital picture frame for myself this year.
Hubby wants the Dark Knight on dvd.

Cute plates!

I use swim goggles for onion goggles! They look ridiculous but get the job done. For Christmas, I'm giving my sister a purse (as I do every year, she's a purse-a-holic like I'm a cookbook-a-holic) and my parents a membership to a tea of the month club. I'm hoping to get a new suitcase that doesn't want to fall apart!

I would like to give my ailing mom anything she wants. So that her Xmas is extra special. But she only wanted a pair of shoes. I keep prodding her to think of some other things. But nada... Oh my what to do now? LOL....
